Since so much of our mission is about supporting artists and their endeavors, we will try to list here opportunities available to you, either through the Project or via other organizations. Please email sahi@navatman.org for any further information regarding these projects.

Right now, we are looking for:

Classical Dance and Music Teachers
Specifically: Odissi ~ Violin ~ Tabla

As part of our conservatory efforts, we'd like to start establishing full time teachers. We are well on our way to providing part-time, stable job options for teachers and are slowly working our way to include more full time staff and benefits. Classical Dancers for Navatman Dance

Navatman Dance, the resident company of this organization, is looking for professional level dancers to become part of their dance company. We will be doing a week long in July 2012 so please email sahi@navatman.org if interested.

Male Classical Dancers

In the fall of 2012, we will be having an all male classical dance show. Paid. Please email sahi@navatman.org for further details and to audition.

Performing Artists for 10-20 minute Performance

Every few months we will have a "brunch performance", each with a theme. It is a great opportunity to perform in an intimate atmosphere for new viewers. Paid. Please email sahi@navatman.org for further details.

Workshop Artists

If you are a traveling artist, and are returning to New York City, give us a call! Right now we are only accepting workshop applicants who have given workshops in New York City in the past. We will slowly expand this to newcomers as well.

Performing Artists

We also produce full length shows here in New York. If you are a traveling or a local artist, and would like to perform in Manhattan/New Jersey, please email us your proposal, answering the following questions:

1. Have you performed the show before? If so, when, where, and to how many?
2. What is your expected budget?
3. How many people do you expect to bring in yourself? (Just gives us an idea if our performance space will be enough or if we must rent elsewhere).
