Events are a mainstay of The Anamika Navatman Project --
Annually we have 4-5 large scale events each year, each program meant to be creative and accessible as a way to expand the circle of South Asian art lovers and provide them a point with which to easily enter the world. For instance, we recently had a major Navaratri/Diwali event celebrating the folk dances of India - the first Navaratri/Diwali raas/garba for the public in Manhattan.
Every month, however, we have many smaller events going on at once from educational events such as workshops and classes to creative series such as our new brunch performance series. Each event is meant to garner no more than 50-100 people in an effort to provide a different, intimate atmosphere for the artists and patrons.
We organize other unique events as well, such as sponsoring artist seasons, collaborating with outside organizations, networking events, fundraisers, etc. The name of the game is keeping the patron happy, interested, and fulfilled in their love of South Asian arts, so contact us if there's anything else you'd like to see us do!
